This week while you color Princess Pristina with a little one in your life (inner child included 😉 Talk about James 1:17. God’s given many good gifts. Can you think of some?
When James wrote these words, he had just been talking about how sometimes we want to blame God for tempting us to do wrong. After all, God’s in charge of everything, right? So if I feel like sinning, is it His fault? No, James tells us. God gives good things, and He never changes. Any time we’re feeling bad or want to do something bad, all we have to do is ask God to change us. His Spirit can change our hearts and fill them up with good things instead, things like love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self control (Galatians 5:22-23). And all that goodness is not just a gift to us, but to those around us too. What if everyone lived like that? How much better a place the world would be!
