It’s Mommy & Me Monday again! Don’t let the name fool you – its for all you dads and grandparents and aunties and nannies and Sunday school teachers too. I’m just a sucker for alliteration 🙂 I’ve made two coloring sheets – a detailed one for the grownup (or older child) and a simpler page for the little ones. Spend some time talking about the verse together while you color!
Sometimes we feel alone and scared. But feelings don’t always tell the truth. God promised His people that He would never leave them or forsake them (Deut 31:6), and Jesus told His followers that He was with them always, to the very end of the age (Matt 28:20). How is that possible? Didn’t Jesus go up into heaven after He rose again? Yes, but He sent us His Holy Spirit to live in us, to guide us and comfort us. By His Spirit He is truly always with us. And if God is in us, what can come against us?! He Himself is giving us His power, His own love in our hearts, and the strength to keep going.
“…we can say with confidence, ‘The LORD is my helper, so I will have no fear. What can mere people do to me?'” (Hebrews 13:6 NLT)
